Phi Iota Alpha was established December 26, 1931, and is the oldest Latino fraternity in existence. The fraternity has roots that stem back to the late 1800s to the first Latino fraternity, and the first Latino student organization in the United States The brotherhood is composed of men committed toward the empowerment of the Latino community by providing intensive social and cultural programs and activities geared toward the appreciation, promotion and preservation of Latin American culture.
It is our pleasure, on behalf of the brothers of the Iota Chapter to welcome you to our chapter website. We welcome you to explore our site and experience
the greatness of our FamIliA.
As the First Latino Fraternity established in Oswego, our brothers have worked hard over the past seventeen years to create an environment that promotes our Latino culture and values in a place where that is rare.
We as a chapter have always worked to build unity, community, and brotherhood to the Latino student body.
